Introduction

When you are writing thousands of words a day, it can be a challenge to properly check over all of your work to make sure that there are no errors. It is very easy to make grammatical errors and overlook them when reading back on your previous work. Byron can take the process of proofreading off your hands by having a dedicated virtual assistant read them over for you, making sure that they are free of error and sound coherent. By utilizing our short term request structure, you can have multiple different documents proofread quickly while you focus on what you need to get done. We will be going over what you will need to do in order to have your writing proofread by a Byron assistant.

How To Structure A Proofreading Project

When sending off a document to be proofread, you will need to make sure you have everything in order for your assigned assistant. We recommend that you upload whatever document you want proofread and corrected to Google docs to allow easy sharing and viewing for both you and your assistant. Another reason that we would recommend using Google Docs for sharing of documents is for it’s built in capabilities for leaving comments on to the document directly without altering the state of the document itself. This allows you to easily view what changes your assistant recommends while also making the ability to make those changes as easy as clicking a button. It is also important to remember that you will need to make sure that the document you are sending off to be proofread can be viewed by your assistant, so make sure that you send over a shareable link that allows access to the individual who is receiving it.

How We Will Deliver Back A Proofreading Project

When sending off a short term request for a document to be proofread, the guidelines for our assistants is to keep an original copy of the document to send back to you alongside the corrected document that has been noted upon. This ensures that you retain your original document for you to view alongside the edited version so you can see what corrections your assistant recommends that you make. By utilizing Google Docs, the process of reviewing the notes that your assistant recommends becomes much easier due to how the platform handles notes. By default, our assistants will follow this guideline for delivering back your proofread documents so if you would like them to handle this in a different manner make sure that you specify that in your request. We are more than happy to accommodate any format that works best for your workflow.
